BankSA Sleepout for Vinnies Fundraising Campaign
Last year, BankSA raised an amazing $172,689 for Vinnies through their BankSA Sleepout campaign – all of which contributed directly to the women’s crisis accommodation facility in Adelaide’s north.
Sadly, 19,641 South Australians were assisted last year with homeless services, and more than 60% of these were women, unfortunately women are at greater risk of homelessness due to gender-based financial inequality, and this risk is amplified with domestic and family violence.
Since Vinnies’ new crisis accommodation facility for women was opened last October, it has been at 92% capacity but there is still a lot more to do. BankSA is in a unique position to help, and they know from previous years, that when they put their heart and effort into raising funds and awareness for this cause, they achieve amazing things.
At BankSA Ingle Farm are doing their bit to raise funds for Vinnies and the emergency services it provides for women and children in crisis to escape harm and receive the help they need for a brighter future, you too can help by making a donation at any BankSA branch in their collections boxes or visit the Ingle Farm branch to buy a raffle ticket or 2. There are some great prizes to be won – including a dinner voucher kindly donated by Neil at Café Numero Uno.
